  Who Qualifies?

Children with the following conditions qualify for LifeHorse:

  • Arthritis

  • ALS

  • Autism/Asperger's Syndrome

  • Cancer

  • Chronic Asthma (With frequent in-patient hospitalization)

  • Cystic Fibrosis

  • Diabetes

  • Epilepsy

  • Genetic Disorders (EG: Down Syndrome, Fragile X, PKU)

  • Heart Disease

  • Hemophilia

  • HIV/AIDS/Immunodeficiency

  • Kidney Disease

  • Liver Disease

  • Lyme's Disease

  • Sickle Cell Anemia

  • Spina Bifida 

Children with the following conditions DO NOT qualify for LifeHorse unless they also have a qualifying condition (presence of one of these conditions does not exclude the child from participation):

  • ADD/ADHD

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

  • Hearing and Sight Impairments

  • Learning Disabilities

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Muscular Dystrophy

  • Traumatic Brain Injury
