This section
features the horses who live at LifeHorse. Each and every
horse is special! Learn more about
them below.
Hajji:
New Tradition, "Hajji"
is a well mannered, well trained 5-gaited American Saddlebred
Gelding who can do ANYTHING!
He is 16 years old, and WINS 3-Gaited Saddle seat classes,
Hunt Seat Classes, Western Classes, Driving Classes, and best
of all he was UNDEFEATED in Halter during 1998. Hajji has been
shown EXTENSIVELY and wins!! He likes to give kisses and will
lick your hand for hours. He is so gentle that he carried the
World Champion Lead Line rider (age 5) to victory in 1998.
Ele:
Skipa Lena,
"Ele," is a 23-year-old American Quarter Horse who has been on the farm
since 1988. Ele was born March 7, 1984 in Crestview, Florida at
Huggins Quarter Horses. She lived there until we acquired her at
the age of 4. Her sire is Florida champion Quarter Horse Skipin'
and her dam is Lena Mesa. Ele has started many students in
her seventeen year career, including her active role in the 4-H
Horseback Riding for the Handicapped program. Ele will live out
her years on the farm being fed carrots and treats by all of her
students who have since moved on to other mounts and starting
more young riders. In 2006, with the kids help, Ele was named to
the QPA Honor Roll - she finished 7th in the NATION! Way
to go guys!
Connor:
Dodgen the Punchline, "Connor," is a 6 year-old American
Quarter Horse who is new to LifeHorse in 2006. Connor was
4th in the state in Green Reiner I in 2005 and is finished 2nd
in the state in Green Reiner II in 2006. He has NRHA earnings and
has won several classes. However, is wasn't Connor's show
record that brought him to LifeHorse, it was his personality.
This sweet gelding is sure to be a favorite of the kids!
Hunter:
CL
Blues Man "Hunter" was purchased from Sanctuary
Stables in October of 2001. Hunter is by Coosa
Lad and out of Tangled In blue (By Kay
Cee Leaguer). Hunter is HYPP N/N. With Hunter's long
line of wining tradition, he is sure to be a top Quarter
Horse, but it is not his abilities IN the show ring that make
him the heart and soul of the LifeHorse program, it is his
attitude. Hunter is 7 years-old, and has a
natural love for children. The kids love riding him, but
they really love brushing him and feeding him carrots.
Guapo: Elegante Destacado "Guapo" is
still learning his way around the LifeHorse program. He
is a 13 year-old Andalusian Gelding and he loves kisses from
the kids! Guapo
was the 1996
Reserve Champion Andalusian 2-year old Stallion, and Reserve
Champion Best Movement Purebred Andalusian Horse from the
Festival of Horses in Shelbyville, Tennessee. He
is also the Grand Champion Jr. Colt from the Regional
Andalusian Horse Show in Lexington, Virginia (August 1997),
and he won the Gold Medal Movement Award for 1994, Purebred,
colts at the Festival of Horses in 1997.
Born on May 10th, 1994, Guapo stands 16.2 hands and is
remarkably like his Grand Champion, imported Sire, Bontio VIII,
and his Grand-Sire, Grand Champion Stallion, Infante
T. Both Stallions are proven sires and have many
Championships to their credit, including Dressage, Exhibition,
and even Western Pleasure. In 2006, Guapo qualified for
nationals in 5 different events, and once again captured the
Gold Medal Movement Award!
Dotado: GRF Regalo Del Dios "Dotado"
is just 3 years-old and she is already doing her part in the
program. Dotado LOVES to be brushed and she will stand
for hours to have her back scratched. She loves kids and
they can't wait for her to be old enough to ride. Dotado's
dam is Danza

Andalusians'Cordobes
XX. Cordobes
XX graced the cover of Robert Vavra's 10 Most Beautiful
Horses in the World book.

back with us as part of the LifeHorse Program!

the kids can't wait to play a big part in him winning another
National Championship!

than one mile away and is part draft and part paint. He loves to
be groomed and ridden, and we are happy that Amy is letting us
use him!
Meeko:
Meeko is owned by Kate Main-Fredal, our marketing director.
Kate volunteers with us, and she brings Meeko to
help out whenever we need him. Meeko lives with Dakota, about
5 miles away, so we can play with him at his house sometimes! He loves kids and thinks
his job at LifeHorse is great!
